Dance Dance Revolution
I'm not a kid, but I've always loved to dance and I'm trying to follow the rhythm as it says. The game tells me I'm in danger and I've failed EVERY time! What am I doing wrong?! I wish it would just let me dance and give me pointers like the regular Wii Fit games do. I tend to not want to do it on a regular basis because no one wants to be told they've failed every day! It certainly has potential and if someone wants to offer me pointers, I'd readily accept them! I've watched that little boy on youtube and I've tried to move like he does, but it just keeps failing me. At least I was able to turn off the "boo" zzzz.

Really, I'd love a lesson! Anyone?

Sadly disappointed
I picked this game up even though I already had the PS2 version (old) DDR2 Extreme. The songs in this game do not fit well with the workout style I was accustomed to. The basic level game play was so slow and boring. The songs are great, but they are not great for dancing to. The rhythm of these tunes are not the fast-paced rhythms I was used to in the previous PS2 version. After doing the first Song by Rhianna - I thought - the song and graphics were cool - a nice break from the cartoons of the past, but the dance steps were so slow. Even stepping up beyond the first level - the pace was just awkward when the steps are just outright faster than the song. The key behind the success of the original DDR was the fast pace of the songs. You felt like you had to keep up with the beat. Attempting to do this with normal pop songs of the day just plain didn't work. After 45 minutes of trying to find a song or beat that was up and quick, I just turned the Wii off, and got the PS2 DDR2 going again. What a breath of fresh air it was to be sweating 60 seconds later. I literally went 45 minutes to 1 hour on the Wii DDR HP2 without a glistening of sweat. I hear there is a new one arriving soon - I hope I can get my money back on this package.

Let me say that the D-pad was fine. Worked great, not much slipping - better than the GameStop store brand ones that slip. The ability to use the controllers was cool. For the extra money this is worthless. Not a single big new feature to latch onto - and the lack of fast paced songs is a dramatic step backward for this product. If this were the original DDR - the whole line would have died I think.

I was so expecting new things in this version, and I was sadly disappointed.

Our family loves this!
I purchased this for exercise for me. I hate exercising but like dancing. It has been great for that. The whole family loves this, even my husband who is not a big dancer. He likes the sport of it. My 6 year old son loves to dance but in free form and not always with the beat ;-) This game is teaching him dance can have specific steps and timing is important. Fun, educational, good exercise!

DDR3 Review
I purchased this game for my girls (9 and 7). They love it. I, however, do not appreciate the provacative music videos. I don't care for the influence on my kids.

Hard To Learn
This game was part of a package that I bought mainly for the Wii Fit Dance Mat that I use with another game. I am older than the average Dance Dance Revolution player and found that this game is hard for me. I am getting the hang of it, but am still using the beginning mode. I think when the grandkids come to visit they will like it a lot. The dance mat did not work as well as I had hoped with my other game, very awkward to use, but over all an okay purchase. I am sure that teens would have a lot of fun with it.

Decent Video Game
It's a great video game but gets repetitive after a while. It seems that easy mode is way too easy and medium mode is way too hard sometimes. Overall, still a good video game for the price, would prefer this over the ps3 or xbox 360 version just for the price and the fact they don't put too much effort into these world cup games.

Computer Does Most of the Work
I will keep this short (to match how long this game stayed active in our family library).

I played it 2-3 times, and never touched it again. My 9 year old daughter played it regularly for a week or two, and then dropped it for older games.

The best part about this game is the music/uniform/team selections, the game play is pretty boring and mostly determined by the computer.

Essentially, you shake the Wii remote to have the player "do something" (headers, corner kicks, goal kicks, shots on goal). The computer does the rest ... which is a bit pointless to me because it's almost like a simulator. This was OK for my 9 year old because she does not yet appreciate the finite control of being able to choose between a power shot and a chip shot, or whether to go for the top left corner or the bottom right, a hard pass versus a touch pass, and so forth.

But if you care about those things at all, this isn't really for you as the computer decides how and when you are going to make your plays. You just do the grunt work of moving the players to the spots.

I didn't mind the slow motion shots and plays. My kids enjoyed that part too, but remember, once you are in slow motion it's a computer determined result that is picked at random.

I would not recommend it.

Your Fifa
2010 Fifa World Cup is an amazing game. You can make your own team on Zacumi's Dream Team. You get to choose your team and your logo. Your colors are yellow and green. You start out with a moderate team with players from a lot of teams all over the world. Each time you compete a team you have a bronze, silver, and gold challene. The challenges will be tieing or winning againt the team, no slide tackles, or no fouls. Each time you complete a challenge you can select a player from that team. You are only allowed one person from each team. So you get a player you give a player. The better the challenges the better the players. You can also do the fifa cup as your favorite team. There is a ton to do in this game. I personally love it and will never forget it!! So have fun and enjoy this game. I know you will.

EA Sports Scores a Goal with 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa
Whenever a video game is released to correspond with a current athletic event that is taking place there is a risk that the game might have been hastily thrown together simply to be able to market the game to those overcome with the excitement of what is taking place. Perhaps it is just some memories of old school Nintendo games that were released at the time of the Winter and Summer Olympics that brings back those horrible memories, however, with a vast market of people now wrapped up in World Cup fever a timely release of 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa for the Nintendo Wii has truly bucked that trend.

2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa is a great release that allows the user the ability to join in the excitement of the World Cup in the comfort of their own video gaming chair. With several different options to play, there is no shortage of ways to mix it up while playing this game.

Users can select from both all of the World Cup qualifiers as well as countries that did not make the cut and select from various different game scenarios to enjoy this game. Single matches between teams ranging from Slovakia and Peru or Australia and Trinidad could be set up and played either head to head or against the computer. The single match option is great if you want to try playing some strange matchups and perhaps learn a bit more about some of the other nations' clubs that are out there that perhaps do not get as much air time as those who either qualified for the World Cup or who are perennially recognized as a soccer powerhouse.

The option to actually play a World Cup is of course one of the highlights of the game. When selecting this option, the gamer can choose one of the nations that actually qualified for the World Cup and then play in the actual bracket that they were grouped into. For instance, if you were to choose the United States as the team that you wanted to be, your initial group games of England, Slovenia and Algeria would be the first three games in your group before you were to move onto the next round. There is an option to change around the groups should you wish but as a traditionalist I like trying to get through the rounds as they were structured in real life.

Another great way to play 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa for the Wii is with the online option. By selecting the online play, users are able to play through the internet against other gamers all across the globe. Personally, the best way to try and play the online version is in the 1 on 1 ranked area where you pick a team and a competitor picks another team and you play a onetime match against that person. There is an option for rematches when played this way but the beauty of playing the ranked option is that you will find the quality competition of those out there to be a good challenge.

One of the nice things about 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa is that the quality of the detail paid to the game was clearly heightened during the creation of this game. While playing an actual match, players actually have their real names and the skill sets of those players comes across to be rather accurate. That said, it is much easier to play a match as Spain or Germany against one of the other powerhouses than it is to play that same match as Barbados. The game play of the match itself is very fair and there is a good nature to the action that actually does not call for every slide tackle to be considered a yellow or red card as some previous soccer video games might have called for.

The game play commentary does not offend as some other sporting video games might and there is not the same level of redundancy to the narration that unfortunately serves as a detractor for a lot of games. If you are just about to go nutty from hearing vuvuzela's in the real World Cup than be prepared to hear them again as there is a more than occasional vuvuzela being blown in this video game that adds a certain level of authenticity to the whole World Cup experience.

I have found that the best way to play this game is with the Wii Nintendo Classic Controller Pro. By having the ability to play this game with the more traditional Nintendo controller, the game seems to be a bit smoother to play via this option than if the regular Wii controller was solely utilized. For me, having the ability to be able to play this game utilizing the classic controller is a huge plus and one of the best benefits of the game outside of the actual game itself.

Released by EA Sports, 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa is Rated E and is a fine game for soccer fans of all ages. One of the true benefits of this game is that it is not so time specific that after today's final match you will have no interest in playing this game. 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa is certainly a game that can be played right up until the next World Cup takes place in Brazil.

It is what you would expect
This is a good soccer game. It is cool because we are currently in the World Cup, and the game is totally accurate as to the teams, brackets, etc. There are some players that are on the game but not playing in the "real life" World Cup, such as Barrack for Germany or Ching for the USA. All in all, the game is very fun. There are aspects that I wish were different, or more "interesting." This includes goal scoring, which I wish had a little more creativity. It gets sort of predictable. Also, after you get pretty good at it, you start smashing teams 6-0 on the "Hard" setting. However, all in all, not only is it fun to play, it is a little piece of history, and if you are looking for a fun soccer game for your Wii, I do recommend this one!

Great racing fun
Just wanted to add my 5 stars. Of course it's just a video game, but it is so much fun, there is so much learning involved and I have derived countless hours of fun solo and with friends and family playing this game, not to mention playing people around the world online. Well worth 50 bucks.

Sad Grandmother
I really don't know much about the game, other then what my Grandson who is now 9. He told me his friend had it & it was so much fun.
However, I bought this for him for his 9TH birthday, only to find out that his little brother who is 2 broke the Wii. I have know idea how much it will cost to fix it. I just know my Son-in-Law does not have the money to do so. My daughter walked out on them, & has left him/ them in a bad financial situation. I feel so bad. He really wanted the game & now who knows. I think my husband bought the Wii's on here for all our grandchildren.That was 2 years ago :(.
I Pray we can get it fixed. I got rid of all the paper work on the game, so I can't return it.

Great family fun!
My son (7 1/2) played this game with a friend, who had brought it over. It was such fun we decided to get it - so glad we did! Hours of fun racing around crazy tracks, getting items to help you or mess with your opponents. Actually, it's a bit addicting! So - be sure your child takes some breaks to read or do other "brain" activities, or they'll spend all day racing!

Amazing Game
I am really happy with this game. It is great if you are playing alone or with friends. I enjoyed this game greatly.

entertaining
i was so excited at first because i everyone i asked they said that it was really fun and enjoyable and you forget that its been hours of playing. that is the reason i ordered mine and infact i think it's fun and its for all ages. the only thing that i dont like is that, it gaves me headache of turning and tussling, the graphics it was amazingly good, playing with the big 55' tv is awesome.since i had it i only played 3 times. just figured out yourself if i liked it thah much.

Why this game is a hit
There are a few important reasons why this game is such a hit:

1. Constant action. There is no down time in this game. It is constant.

2. Fast learning curve. It will take the average player only a few minutes to get comfortable with the interface.

3. Clear objectives. This game has almost no plot! Get the princess and do so by moving through dozens of cartoonish worlds.

4. Excellent multiplayer. They made it work. It is a blast to play this with others.

5. Nearly unending playability. This game will keep you coming back. I can't imagine getting bored of the gameplay. Angry and frustrated, yes, but never bored!

It came to me in a perfect condition played with it the same day I got it and its a great great game.love how you can play with 4 people,its just a party game.I recomend this game to everybody.

Great Game, but it is so fustrating sometimes!
This game is fun, but once you get into newer worlds it gets a lot harder. I would not reccomend this to anybody who hasn't had 1+ Year(s) of experience with the Wii. The controls are diffrent. Insted of A it is two and insted of B it is 1. It is very confusing until you understand how to play! This game is also very, very fustrating. When I couldn't make a Castle or fortress in World Two with 5 lives, I added another player. Well, sort of. See I just let Player 2 remote just sit. That way If I loose I have another person. When you get 1 life for both just press A on the one you would like to have 1 life. Then, let the other one Die. It works pretty good. Although, I have gotten up to 99 continues. When I get more than that it stays at 99. I'll never give up with this game!

+ The game is a whole lot of fun. The levels and power-ups are creative and inspired, and the 4-player option adds a new dimension(and serious replayability) to the game.
+ The game is simple enough to be easily approachable to new players, but deep, rewarding and challenging enough to engage a hardcore gamer. Truly, fun for all ages and walks of life. This is what a "family" game should be.
+ This is a classic style of game reimagined faithfully and effectively. There is a lot of nostalgia here for older gamers.
- No online play to speak of. What year is this again? Even just leaderboards would have been nice. Even if it were available though, this is a game best played with friends in person. Perhaps it isn't much of an omission.

An instant classic. If you own a Wii, you should own this game. Games with this kind of craftsmanship are rare, and your lucky to find 1 game made with this level of quality in a year. With price drops on this title all over, now is the time to buy if you haven't already.

this game seems like it was meant for people who have never played mario games it is no fun at all if you've played the smb1, smb2, and smw the game is sortaf like smb 3 one of the most anoying fetures in the game is the music, in it the music will say "what" up to 4 times in a row and when it does the items, mario/luigi/toad, all the enimes(pardon the spelling), even the bosses will DANCE! to the music. if i could i would not even give this 1 star
