Meh. Maybe my expectations were a little too high?

Each of the past two years, I’ve bought EA’s NHL release for the X-box 360 (NHL 2008 and NHL 2009). While both games had a few drawbacks, they were both a lot of fun to play — alone, with friends, and online. By comparison, 2K10 for the Wii is pretty terrible.

The Wii isn’t an HD console, so it wouldn’t really be fair to compare the graphics of this game on the Wii to the graphics of NHL 2009 on the 360; but after playing NHL 2009 on the 360, 2K10 on the Wii is just painful to look at. (I was expecting it to be Read the rest of this entry »

Great Fishing Game,

I’ve been looking forward to this game since its announcement. I still play the orginal bass fishing and sega marine fishing on the Dreamcast because they are so much fun.

Fish to catch, things to do and places to see!

When I first saw this game I thought it might be boring, but there are enough different fish, challenges and places to see to keep it interesting. That said, I would rate it as primarily a family game, a great way for kids and parents or grandparents to share some fun family time together. Get up off the couch and hit the slopes!

When you go flying down the slopes on your snowboard (aka balance board), I swear you can almost feel the rush it in the pit of your stomach, it’s that much of a total immersion. A great workout!!

I actually got my copy a couple of days before it was supposed to be released from a video game store. It’s mostly cardio boxing, although there are other exercises including Punch Dog, reverse sit-ups, back strengthening and squats that utilize the balance board. A welcome trip down memory lane !

As a fan of the original Punch-Out!! titles on NES and SNES, I knew that this game was a must have for me. Having finally played the title yesterday, I am glad to report that it certainly does not disappoint! This is hardcore Punch-Out gameplay at it’s best!

The thing that I love about Punch-Out!! is that, like the original games, it really isn’t a brawler. You can’t button-mash your way through the game. Rather, it really is more of a puzzler, in that each opponent has a “tell”, and a specific fighting style. Once you have him figured out, it is just a matter of countering him. Don’t be mistaken, however: this game’s difficulty get’s hardcore really quickly (much like the original games!). Great Ball Game,

I’m having a lot of fun with this game and thats why it gets 4 stars. In reality it probably should be 3 stars but no matter the flaws you cant beat good gameplay. The home run pin ball is a lot of fun…those breaking balls can be really tricky! Legend mode offers a good mix of regular games, specific goals and the chance to upgrade your guy while stealing other players.
