Game Party Reviews
Not bad…for $20,
Revising my review after a week of owning the game. Here’s a rundown of each of the games:
Darts - once you get the hang of it, which doesn’t really take that long, it’s fun. Especially nice is the fact that up to four players can compete in this game at once. Custom darts/boards are unlockable.
Hoop Shoot - this can get tiring, but is fun for quick competitions between friends. Getting the ball to stay straight can be a little bit of a challenge at times.
Skill Ball - aka Skee ball - is fun. The controls are pretty much the same as Wii bowling, and the only thing you need to watch out for is throwing too hard. Also, this only has a one player mode, but Read the rest of this entry »

Hasbro Family Game Night Reviews
Excellent Translation of Hasbro Standards!
It’s an expected hazard of having children and wanting to play classic games. We have several game boxes in our closet that are unplayable because of missing pieces, not to mention the precious closet space they inhabit. That’s never a problem with “Hasbro Family Game Night”. You’ll never lose the game pieces Read the rest of this entry »

Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party Reviews
Obnoxiously Charming and Addictive!
Rayman and the Rabbids are back! We own both the first and second of this game, and you’ll see much of the game’s format has stayed the same. In this edition, Rabbids have taken over the television and all its channels, leaving it up to you to win the games in different timeslots on different channels with catchy titles like Trash TV and Macho TV. Win a game in each timeslot, and you earn Read the rest of this entry »

Boom Blox Bash Party Reviews
Great sequel to a great game,
In a world full of sequels, it is refreshing to see a sequel truly improve upon the original while still remaining true to the core gameplay. With hundreds of levels and puzzles, the game is huge, but the same great gameplay is still present and the emphasis on multi-player, both competitive and co-op, has been increased immensely. Online functionality has been improved so much over the previous version, you almost Read the rest of this entry »

Challenging Puzzles found here
This is definitely a thinking-person’s game, and also one requiring persistence and patience.
Some of the safes are no-brainers (find a key in one safe, and it unlocks another safe), many have a clever puzzle to solve (manipulate a series of switches or buttons), while some are of the “unknown code keypad” type. This last kind proved the most difficult, because there’s no feedback other Read the rest of this entry »

Word Jong Party Reviews
Great game for fans of the original and new ones also
This is great game for any fans of the original PC game from Pogo or DS game Word Jong. It is basically Mahjong but with letters instead of shapes and symbols. Think of it as slightly different version of Scrabble. Overall its a fun experience in single player mode and in party mode which allows you to play against 2-4 other people in the same mode. The only other thing I could really wish for in this Read the rest of this entry »

Just as addicting as the DS version
I am addicted to the DS version. I can sit for hours at a time playing, sometimes draining the battery life. I was excited when I found out a Wii version was coming out.
If you enjoy the “match 3″ type games like Bejeweled or Collapse, you will most likely enjoy this. With each level, you earn gold, building supplies or food, plus special bonus items that will help you finish the level. In order to “build Rome” you Read the rest of this entry »

Mario Party 8 Reviews
A Mediocre Party
Ever since Mario Party debuted on the Nintendo 64, we’ve been receiving a new game in the series on a yearly basis. The last few Mario Party games have all been tiring. Almost rehashes. However, with the Wii, Mario Party has a chance to be a lot of fun again thanks to the Wii-Remote. Unfortunately, it isn’t all its cracked up to be. The Wii-Remote controls work, but they feel like a last minute Read the rest of this entry »
