Toy Story Mania Reviews
Next Best Thing to the Actual Ride,
At Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World, the manic, wildly entertaining Toy Story Mania ride opened in 2008 to rave reviews, long lines and a lot of ecstatic, happy customers. When Disney announced production of a home version for the Nintendo Wii, fans rejoiced, but with a touch of skepticism: Could a home version possibly do justice to the amazing ride? Turns out, the answer is….yessss…..mostly….
Toy Story Mania (the Wii game) is a polished, beautifully crafted game that captures the ride’s most important element–the pace and feel of the target games–perfectly. The Read the rest of this entry »

Scooby Doo! First Frights Reviews
roooby roooby ROOOOO!
Very well-polished game that truly captures the feel and character of the original Scooby Doo series. From the excellent voice acting (Fred, Shaggy and Scooby are the stand-outs,) to the laugh track and ‘Chase’ sequences - everything a Scooby fan could want is here. You get the chance to play as different characters as the gang “splits up” to solve a mystery. You may, for example, play as Shaggy and Scooby while they are looking for clues - then, the story line switches and you play as the other Read the rest of this entry »

Sonic and the Black Knight Reviews
Three words: REDUNDANT TEST RUN,
Great game similar to Sonic Unleashed! It has very good replay value, but must give it a break after 20 minutes or so. Unless you do much jumping and doing much trial and error, you won’t survive for long. Like Paper Mario games, there is too much dialogue you can’t skip for the most part.
You keep doing the same test run through different stages, and to me, it is redundant, and IMO quite a learning curve. What you do is not so much tedious per Read the rest of this entry »

House of the Dead: Overkill Reviews
A Real Blast,
If you were looking for a more adult oriented Wii game, you’ve certaintly come to the right place with House of the Dead: Overkill. The game has over the top violence with it’s blood and gore effects, and defiantly goes over the top with the language.
First off, if you’re easily offended by harsh language, then you may want to steer clear of this game. Literally, like every other word out of one of the character’s mouth is F this or MFer that. I know a lot of people will find offense to the amount of F bombs dropped in this game, but Read the rest of this entry »

Active Life Outdoor Challenge Reviews
Good Cardio workout !
I am an owner of a Wii Fit, so I wanted to try another interactive game that moved my whole body. This game is just as great as the Wii Fit. Here are a couple of pros and cons of Namco’s Active Life Outdoor Challenge:
Pro:
Will move your entire body - if you looking for a cardio workout. There are a lot of games that you can play by yourself, against someone or as a team. You can Read the rest of this entry »

Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings Reviews
Fun game that doesn’t get past being just “Good”
I had high expectations for this game. I don’t know why. The last two Indiana Jones action games (Infernal Machine and Emperor’s Tomb) were fun, but not great. That is what this game is: fun, but not great…just good.
The first problem is the story, which moves along without much context, logic, or narrative. Indy just moves from place to place following the mystery. The story is all bones, but no meat, which is disappointing for Read the rest of this entry »

Ghostbusters The Video Game Reviews
Who you gonna call ? Well you know who…
Ghostbusters: The Video Game for the Wii, is a great game in its own right. Unique in that it’s not like the more graphically intense PS3 and Xbox 360 versions but still will have the same Ghostbusters (Widescreen Edition) familiarity from start to finish. As long as you can mentally get past the more cartoonish look of the game over the others, you really can’t go wrong here.
The game itself takes place 2 years after the events of the movie Ghostbusters 2 (Widescreen Edition), where you are a new recruit that the four regular Ghostbusters (Peter, Egon, Ray and Winston) are training due to increased business in the city as far as ghost hunting goes. And of course Read the rest of this entry »
